700 Twin vs 800 EFI

If you want to plow serious stuff, the 800 is amazing. Re-graveled all drive ways this summer and pushed in several inches of gravel into a 18' by 40' RV cover this summer. It will push a completely full blade of 3/4- gravel and just go with it. Knocked down piles of gravel and spread it out. We have a 700EFI and an 800EFI. The wife rides the 700. I love the 800. Would give it 11 out of 10 stars. If you plan on keeping it for any time at all, go for the 800. You will not regret it and you might regret going with the 700. Once bought, the extra cost is forgotten quickly. My brother has the same, a 700efi and just purchased the 800efi for him to ride. He never seemed to be the one on the 700. Had to have his own.

if you dont want a great handling, really fast machine dont buy the 800. My 04 700 carb handles "heavier" in front due to bigger tires and the 800s better struts, my 700 cant catch up or keep up on the trail,.The lights are super, storage is nice and the radials are a nice ride. Neighbor has a 700efi,, pretty quick same features just not as powerful but nowhere near a weak machine.

Other than the extra power its the same machine basically.
If you think your going to be modding the 700 efi to make it faster you might as well get the 800.
You can always buy the wheels or get something you might like better.
Vision makes them and other styles in 12" and 14".

I have the 800 and looked at the 700efi when I was buying. Basically the same machine but the power is the difference. Basically like a Corvette vs. a Z-28. The Z runs great but the Vette has a lot more "smile factor". Plus there was no way i could throw down that amout of money knowing that for a little more there is something bigger and badder out there. Its only $$$!

My friend has a rincon (05) and just last weekend I pulled him out of the mud a total of four times. No low end grunt and no low tranny setting. I have a 700 efi and had no problems going thru the same mud. I let him ride it thru and he had a smile on his face the whole time!
