Default 00 Sportsman 500

Hey folks! I bought a 00 sportsman 500 RSE that was in need of a lot of work. Got it as a repo, and it appears to be rode pretty hard. I have fixed some problems with my limited knowledge, but have a few questions.

1st- An overheating problem. It is overheating after about 10 minutes of riding. Fan will not come on at all. Checked and power is around 11.7 volts at the fan connectors. Removed fan and motor and cleaned out all the fins on the radiator.
While it was still all hooked up I unplugged the sensor at the top of radiator and fan did not come on at all. If it is the fan motor, is there an aftermarket available and does the fan come with the motor?
(By the way looking at the schematics in my repair manual, it looks like the 99 and below set up, but the atv is a 00?)
I have already replaced the mech seal at the water pump.

2nd- When I first got it started, it smoked pretty bad. Blueish/White smoke. As I ride some(before it overheats!) it gets a little better. Brother in law said it appears to be buring oil.
(How hard is it to put rings in the 500?)

3rd- Strut seal on the r/front is leaking hub fluid. I replaced it, but it still leaks some. Is this something the dealer really needs to do for me? The strut itself may actually be bent. The wheel on that side actually touches the outer tie rod end! Will adjusting the tie rod fix this?

Thanks!
Spears
