Default srambler clutch setup

Hi all, I own a 98 srambler 500, and am looking for some clutch advise. The scrambler is my winter and sloppy weather, while my wife rides it in the summer, and I ride a raptor. My wife is perfectly happy with the performance but I'm in need of more! Here's what I'm looking for. I ride 90% wooded trails with tight turns and short straights. So I'm looking for harder accleration without sacrificing too much top end. I don't want too high of a stall since the wife still rides it. Last thing I would prefer to just change springs and or settings, my wife won't appreciate the difference, and I'm busy investing money in the raptor so cheaper is better.

under a couple hundred bucks can get you a new clutch kit.

your best bet is to call rick ritter or hpd and tell them what mods you have,if any, and what performance you want out of your machine. they will hook you up with something affordable.

hope this helps.

Go with a polaris white or green primary spring and either a Aaen blue or HPD violet secondary.$40 and you are good to go.

Thanks for the reply guys. ftwflh I'm interested in your setup. Its in my price range (cheap)! Can you give an idea of what to expect from this setup? And hello fellow Illinois neighbor.

Better take off and a bit more topend along with better backshifting.
As for neighbors in IL we are about 350 miles apart This state is bigger than most folks think.
Drop me a pm or email sometime

The Illinois neighbor thing was just a joke I know your near the Indiana- Kentucky border. Heck scramblerXrated is half the distance in Des Moines! I just haven't run accross many Illinois residents in the different forums I search. Thanks a bunch for the info. In the next couple weeks I'm going to try your setup, let you know what I think.
Thanks again,
Neil
