2 Wheel or 4 wheel Ebs. I am not arguing with anyone BUT, when I descend down large sand hills(200 feet or so) my rear wheels do not lock up. I am using no brakes whatsoever. I look momentarily( I am descending at 45 degrees) and all my whell are rotating smoothly. I have not ridden down steep dirt or hard pack trails. Maybe it will be different then. Enjoy the ride jl

The current system will offer 4 wheel EBS if the front hubs are engaged. But if they are disengaged, it's only the rear wheels. Since the Polaris system kinda kicks in/out based on a traction, you don't always have 4 wheel EBS right now.

awdowden, wayout here, you can't have 4-wheels engaged pulling, and 4-wheel ebs at the same time, because when traction is regained the front hubs disengage, and to have ebs you have to let off the gas to put it simple; i think every body that has a polaris, knows all to well what 2-wheel ebs feels like, besides they've been that way since their concept it's nothing new..wayout, out.................

Wayout: I understand what you're saying. That is how the concept works, no argument. But in the real world, sometimes you do have 4-wheel EBS. I'm sure some others on here will agree that they've had it happen to them as well. It doesn't always kick out right away.

you are correct sometimes they dont kick out imediatley .. i see he states his tires do not lock up well they wont lock up they continue to turn but as the rear wheel engine braking starts to loose traction the wheels will continue to turn however your fronts will be going faster as the rear wheels are slippin and slidin down the hill and your fronts are just rolling along the only way you can see if it all wheel ebs go down a very very steeep hill in low range and have someone watch to see if the tires are turning the same speed or if the rear seem to be going slower than the front and slidin along peace

OK, Ok...I was wrong. I went riding today and while descending steep slick hills ( very fluffy sand) I noticed the front wheels were, indeed, turning more quickly than the rear tires. Afterwards I went by the Polaris dealer and the owner said he had talked with Polaris and 4wheel Ebs is not available at this time. He and his mechanic were wrong. They apologized. You guys were correct all along. Sorry I was so stubborn. This is my 4x4. I will continue to learn from you guys with all the experience. Thank you for your patience, Jeff Lewis

wayout here, we've all got to learn, i was the same way when i first got mine in 2000, Polaris's system is completely different from everybody else's, i still run into people on the trail that think when they turn the awd switch on, they think they're in 4-wheel drive, they don't know the rear wheels have to lose traction before the front engages, i tell them it's in stand by mode so to speak, it's done automaticaly, kicks in when needed, kicks out when it not needed.. wayout, out.................
