I probably ought to stay out of this , but , here goes .
I think the question originally posted is: My highly modified 400 makes more power at 6700 than 7200 , where do yours peak at ?
That really suprises me , the hotseat pipe will rev , and Hotseat porting will assist that . I would remove the Hotseat spacers and shorten the tuned length of the pipe , this will help . The lightened parts he has added do help the machine pick up RPM's quicker , but have no bearing on the peak power and the RPM the peak will occur . I would try a different tachometer , it may be in error .
When he says case porting what he means is that the cylinder and cases are matched to each other .This usually doesn't do a lot , but the fit from the factory can be improved .
