Default Scrambler 400 Problem- Question!

Hey,
I have a 96 Scrambler 400. I was wondering how to test the oil pump to see if it works properly?. I was running the quad hard and then out of no where the motor seized. Took it all apart and will be getting a bore and new top end kit shortly (Got any good reccomendations??) but before I put it back together I would like to test the oil pump and water pump before I put the machine back together, but I have no idea how to test either to make sure they are 100% perfect. Any help would be appreciated! The quad is jetted, k&n filter, clutch kit, race exhaust. The only markings I found on the piston was 38A 50 ART so I am not sure how much more the cylinder can be bored?

Thanks

I agree, just block off the oil pump and premix.
