I am having problems with my back brake. I have plenty of pressure when I step on the foot pedal but it will not stop. It stops fine with the hand lever but that runs all of the brakes. I want to be able to stop with the back only. Anyone have any ideas?

I have been reading this site for awhile and your post prompted me to finally register. The back brake wasn't designed to stop the machine like the fronts. It is only to slow down. I had changed the pads on my brothers and he wanted it adjusted to stop better. I made the adjustment. He was riding and he said he felt something hot by his ankle. He looked down and there was fire. He quickly got off and dumped sand on it. I told him he should have let it burn and collect insurance.LOL It melted the disc and the new pad. Talking to the mechanic he told me they weren't designed to stop on a dime just slow it down. I hope this helps you some.
