26" Front 27" Back tires
#1
anyone do this? Any draw backs I haven't thought of?
I just put new 26" on all the way around and it looks pretty weak
one rear looks to be a full inch shorter than the other but it was low on air so hopefully it will work itself out
I was a little concerened that with 12 27s in the front it wouldn't handle or turn that great
thanks for any help

What kind of quad do you have? If you have AWD, the system works on gear ratios. If you put larger rear tires than the front, the rears will have to turn alot faster to engage the front. I would not do it. I would just go bigger all the way around. If it's not an AWD you would just loose power with larger drive wheels.

I didn't think about the ratios or AWD system...that is a huge machine destroying draw back that didn't occur to me.
The idea looked good in my head though
I have an 800EFI - the stock tires measured a full inch taller in the rear even though they both said 26" front 24" rear 25" high (from the floor)
I put on new ITP XTRs on Type & ITP wheels and they are now the same
