polaris starters

Default polaris starters

can anybody tell me how you get the starter out of a 300 exploers

Remove the clutch cover, clutches, and inner clutch cover. This will get you to the starter on the back side. You will see the bolts that you will need to remove. Remove the pull rope cover. There are two 10mm head bolts around the starter drive that will have to be removed. Remove the 2 bolts and then pull the starter out from the clutch side. Make sure you disconnect the battery before you do this.

can you remove it without taking the clutch out. i got a wrench on the top bolt
