have you heard how exactly it will work, new system to the ATV world maybe, or maybe some old stuff, I'm wondering if the system will work on the same principle it always has,awd ...

 

It's unique in the same way that the Polaris AWD system is unique to the market.

I was looking at the Polaris site at the 2007 Sportsman 500 X2 and as far as the EBS goes it says "standard" ..but there is somthing called ADC (Active Decent Control)...this sounds like it might be a braking system for the the front wheels..I am supised they are not making a big deal of this feature as it seems to be one that most people want ..I have 2002 Sportsman 500..and know from experince ..Riding with a friend with a Honda..he went down steep hills with no problem and I had a hard time controlling my bike..But as I got more experince I don't have as much trouble now..But still thing four whelll EBS is important..

 

cant you just make a switch that simulates the 20% slip and ingages the 4wd. so when you are on a decent you just flip the switch, it would work good on the Rock crawling issue also..

 

no. the 4x4 system works on the principle that once its senced the slip the electrics turn on and 4x4 can be activated. but the whole system merging together is mechanical. you need the rear end to actually slip for 4x4 to lock together
