2manytoys, Thanks for your post. It appears all the rest of us are in agreement. I was just trying to clear up the misunderstanding due to the wrong word/words. I'm not real sure what gunman's problem is either. Maybe if we just start ignoring him he will either straighten up or go away.

Gunman457, As2manytoys clearly stated, he and I were not the ones wrong.YOU were wrong! As he also stated, I too would have admitted if I was wrong. The only time I have a problem admitting I am wrong is when it's clear as day that I am right as it was here. So get over it and move on.

Hey guys I'm more to blame than anyone. I'm the one that called it a u-joint in the first place. Being new to the maintance of an atv I went to my local polaris dealer and asked where I needed to lube. They should me the zerk fittings and called it a u-joint. I in return called it a u-joint in my post. When the purple grease came out all over the place I was worried. For some replacing a seal would be a walk in the park. For me it would be alot. Dang look what probs I had just greasing.
Anyway jumping back on subject for just a second. I'm taking it that since it wasnt a u-joint (which I dont have). It was okay for the extra grease to come out all over the place. Just dont do it again.....Right.
Atleast now I know what I'm doing when it comes to greasing. Thanks for all the help.

Yes, the grease comming out is fine. Like I said before, pump new grease in untill all the old black grease and water comes out. Then clean up the mess. Don't get any grease on the brake rotor.

Good deal, watzupdog, Maybe next time we can all be a little more helpful and not go off chasing rabbits like we just did. My apologies. Let us know if we can help.
