banshee uses a rear turning kick start and goes down below the factory peg when you kick it over. otherwise you couldn;t start one.

I didn;t notice until you said something. lol

The Raptor nerf bars worked really well. On the 500 looking at bigwhillys pics it looks like a REAL chore. He did a good job of getting the mounts under the 4X4 case. I didn't have to worry about that. It also looks a little off on Polaris quads because of the clutch cover sticking out as well as the frame geometry. You need as wide of nerfs as you can get because of it.

Having nothing else to go by other than the Raptor nerfs I can't be real objective but they worked really well for me. I did have to do some welding and cutting. I could have gotten away with not doing it but I wanted them done really solid so I opted to do some solid mounting. Thanks to a good friend of mine who had all the tools. I cut all the pegs off and used the pegs sent with the Nerf bar kit and measured everything up and used C-clamps to mount the pegs sent to get a good idea of where I wanted them and then welded them on. Then I choose where I wanted the front pegs and then cut the front part of the nerf bars to match the mounting I made for the front. It's a little involved but when it's done they will look awesome. I've got some pics on photobucket. Nerf bar pic

Completly forgot about the Banshee being a kick start.... been a long time since I've ridden one.

Now I can see the differeence between duneaholics and mine. The '01 has the foot brake actuator is facing forwards. On the '05 it is behind the pedal, mounted to the frame nearer the swingarm. Don't know what the '03 setup looks like.

Another thing I forgot about the Banshee setup. The right side mount the kit uses is not completely flat. It uses two small pieces offset from each other and welded together to get the nerfbar mount away from the frame. I would guess this is so the downward curved part of the kickstart can go behind the nerfbar mount and allow a full stroke. I just cut the pieces apart and drilled a new hole where I wanted it.

I don't believe you can go wrong with either set. They both require custom fitting. If this was easy, it wouldn't be fun.

lol i guess thats true, my foot brake is setup like the 05, I am also trying to find a transmission from an xplorer 400 or any other chain driven transmission with 4 wheel drive and high and low gear for my scram. Think it would come in handy now and then to have 4x4 low
