Help on new quad
#1
My buddy is going to be buying his wife a new quad real soon. She wants something sporty, not to fast and fully automatic. I've been kind of browsing around for him and it has come down to either buying the Trail Blazer 250 or the Trail Boss 330. Any of you polaris guys have any experiance with these machines? Im just trying to figure out which of the bikes is going to be better in the long run. Its going to be used for light trail riding, general playing around and the occasional dune trip. Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

I doubt the Trail boss would be much fun in the sand. If her body type will fit you considered a KFX 700?
Plenty of power there and a auto. Trailblazer is a good choice also, and dont forget the Scrambler.

Yeah I was suggesting that she get something more like a scrambler but she is convinced that anything over a 250 is going to be to much power. She pretty timid still with the whole quad riding thing, Im just worried that if they buy that little 250 or 330 she is going to get used to it fast and realize that she is gonna need something bigger to keep up. So you think the Trail Blazer is the better of the two bikes here? Is it a pretty dependable machine? Is there a decent aftermarket for it? How does the little air cooled 2 stroke hold up to abuse?

well i can tell you from my wifes point of veiw its a tuff bike. she has put it through the paces and even has rolled it a couple of time and i keep putting it back together and it goes on. its not the fastest out there, but it goes pretty good ands has alot of poltenical to go better w/ aftermarket toys. as long as she doesnt mind a 2 stroke its a good choice.

If most of her riding will be in sand and dunes a 250 Trailblazer will do great. It is easily modded for more power when she is ready for that.

get the scrambler cvt robs alot of power. the trailblazer will get boring....

The Trailblazer is a great choice. Lots of aftermarket parts. Very reliable 2 stroke. Here are some sites to look at. Most of us would recommend Rick Ritter at RCR. you can get a pipe, clutch kit and airbox mod and it will move pretty good. I see you have Honda. Why not the trx250?
