Default gators or bighorns

im looking for a new set of tires for my bike, not sure what kind i want. i was thinking of getting gbc gators or maxxis bighorns. i ride mostly trails , some mud, and snow. what size tires should i get 25 inch or 26???

My preference is the ITP 589 m/s, very durable, i have a ton of miles of northeast mud/rocks on my 27"s. i have not even put a scratch in them. they ride very well on hardpack, the gators look too agressive for hardpack to me. the 589's pull extremely well in deep mud.if you go up in size, you will lose some acceleration due to changing the diameter of the tire. i have a 02 500HO and can notice a large difference in acceleration between the 27's and the stock 25" rawhides that i studded for winter use. i also changed the drive clutch spring to an EPI pink spring thanks to all the input from this site and it recovered what i lost by changing tire size. good luck with whatever you decide.
