They will interchange but you may want to use the weights out of the 500 and the spring out of the 400.500 weights are lighter and a differant grind.

Hi again ftwflh, this isn't the first time you helped me. I allready ordered some springs that Rick Ritter suggested for my 500 clutch. When I tore it down to change them I noticed the buttons on the spider were missing and grooved the contact points up a bit. Sooo I'm looking into a used clutch in better shape. If I purchase this 400 clutch, I understand I should use my 500 weights, but what about the springs I just purchased for my 500 clutch? Are they still the right ones, or do I need to re-order 400 springs, setup for a 500 scrambler?

The springs Rick gets you will work great. But do use the 500 weights .The 400 clutch comes with a white spring that is a good all around spring for any stock polaris.
