Just bought a sp700 efi and the front tires are worn. They are Badlands. I really don't like the way they handle. They don't steer very well. I was looking at the AT489 that come stock on the 05's. What do you think. It has TITAN 489 on the back and I love them.

 

The 05 and newer stock sportsmans came with the new PXT (Polaris Extreme Tire), made by Carliles. They are a radial tire in 26x8-12R fronts and 26x11-12R rears. I have them on my new 2006 800 EFI and I really like them except the fronts are too narrow for my taste. I went to the Carliels web site and found 26x9-12R and 26x10-12R and I think I will put a wider tire on the front. My buddy runs 26x10-12R fronts and 26x12-12R rears and he really likes the extra 2 inces of width and flotation in the front. PXTs only come in the two sizes from polaris, but the ones on the Carliels web site match as far as tread design goes.

If you like the design and ride of the rear tires match them. Go to the Titan site or search the web. If you do decide to go with a wider tire in the front than be careful. The stock rims on a Polaris will not alow for a really wide tire, as they may hit the tie rod ends.

ITP mud lites are a good tire for mud and I plan to order a bolt on set with rims when my stock tires wear out.
