Default 800 EFI- Is it worth the $$$

Howdy. I am new here. Ive read through some posts and like what Ive seen so far. Very knowledgable people willing to help others. I own a 2001 500 HO Sportsman and love it! Ive been thinking of buying a new 2006 model and was wondering if the price difference between a 700 EFI and 800 EFI is worth it? What will I gain if I buy the 800 EFI? Thanks for now. Will

well between the 700 and 800 there isnt a whole lot of difference. the 800 is a little bit louder with an different exhuast tone, along with being a bit faster. other than that, theres not a whole lot of usable difference.

if you dont have alot of money to spend the 700 might be worth looking into over the 800. but none the less, if you have the money for the 800 i would do it, i had one, best quad ive ever owned next to my predator.

Thanks. Ive also heard a bit about the exhaust being so hot, it melts the pastic in places. This doesnt sound like a good feature. Also, would there be a difference in MPG between the 700/800?

I just dropped $9,700 for the new atv in the sig. Extra were was the winch, plow and front rack extension. 3 year warranty as well.

Could have picked up a 700 for cheaper but wanted to go bigger since the 02 700 was over worked.

Has anyone compared the 800 EFI Limited Edition to the standard 800 EFI model? Is it just the color or do you get more for your extra $300.00????

You could save a lot by buying a new 05 800 over a 06 800 and save a bunch. I saw at a dealer this weekend here in minnesota that they are selling new 05 800 sportsmans EFI for $6900

Thats an amazing price! I just priced one here in Maine; $7399.00 for an 05 and $7899.00 for an 06. Both would have the 2500 warn winch installed for this price. I didnt think the price for the 2006 was too bad. What do you think? I also have to pay a 5% sales tax on top of these prices.......

other than painted silver plastics there is no difference on the LE

if you go for an 05 800, make sure its a late build, early 800's dont have all the grease zirks the later ones do

If you're going to work with it at all, get the 800 and don't look back.
