Default 2000 Magnum 500 front spring questions

Hi all. I've heard about some guys who made their own 2" lift for the front of their Sportsman/Magnums by cutting some 2" lengths of pipe, and making 2" spacers to go under the strut cartridges. My question is, does anyone know what diameter pipe to use? Should it be regular schedule 40 pipe? and what diameter should the spacers that go under the struts be? Thanks ----Jon H.

I was one of the first ones to do this..the INNER diameter of the pipe has to be at least 2" Mine is 2 1/8" to be exact.

Hi. I see you are from Maine.....WAY up in Maine. I'm in Augusta. I can probably get some stainless steel pipe from work. Which would be better in your opinion, an inside diameter of 2', or 2 1/8" like yours? I guess the diameter of the spacers that go UNDER the strut cartriges should be slightly smaller than the strut itself??? Thanks..Jon H.
