Hey wilky, if this keeps going like it is, I will make you a good deal on my 800 so that I can save my marriage by buying a second X2.

I just picked my 2006 x2 up from the dealer today. Had my plow mounted and a winch put on. They also temporarily put a different rubber, bungy type strap on to replace the plastic one which was on there. He said Polaris is aware of the seat problems and are working on a permanent fix. I will be notified when the permanent fix is ready and they will fix the problems. My dealer has been great to work with. With any new model of any kind of a machine, I guess one has to give the creators time to iron out the bugs, as all machinery usually has bugs for new models. Given time and being patient, I expect Polaris to solve the rattling, unlocked seat problem. I love the machine otherwise, and hopefully will continue to enjoy it for years to come. Would recommend the 2006 500 EFI X2 to anyone who wants it for trailriding, work on farm or in yard, and snowplowing. Rides great with a passenger on the back. Happy trails to you!

There is a fix for it. I believe this is different then the previous bungy type fix. It is called a slider kit. Have your dealer call Polaris

180 miles, maybe not much, but no issues at all. It is a lot rougher ride in the rear seat though.
