Default break in for pred

im waiting for my new 2006 std preddy to come into the dealer so i can pick it up and i was just wondering what u guys thought for break in, im plannin to run it somewhat hard but iwant some guidelines for it. i broke my tb in somewhat easy at first then let it rip a few times then just varied throttle positions for a bit. but that was a 2 stroke and im not quite sure on the best method for a 4 stroke. thanks,
scott

Break it in like you did your 2 stroke.....you can kinda beat on it...just don't have places where the throttle stays at one spot for long periods.....vary the throttle position.

Make sure you change the oil after 1 hr of riding!!!!! Then again after about 7hrs.....then every 10-15hrs after.....

thanks guys, i was wondering how many hours i should put on it before i start to ride it normal like wide open road sections or trail sections once in a while without having to worry about where the throttles set and all that.

I always counted my first tank as the break in tank. which was about 4 hours of riding for me.

Book says 3 or the first tank
