Default 400 Scramber coolant/engine/fan problems

Ok, heres the scoop. My 400 scrambler's fan is not turning on when it should. The engine overheat light turns on and the fan doesn't turn on. Another thing is there is coolant leaking out of my exhaust pipe and is spraying out of the red blowoff cap on the overflow can, the thing on the left side towards the front, its blue colored. When i open the radiator cap the coolant is really foamy and seeps out the top with the cap off. Just wondering what is going on with it, it starts and runs fine, but started recently doing this and havent ridden it since. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

definetly sounds like a head gasget. Drain the coolant and change the gasket and fill her back up and you should be fine. While your at it you check your compression after the head gasket replacement.

Default 400 Scramber coolant/engine/fan problems

I tripped the fan wire and the fan works, what i am thinking is the head gasket is bad, causing the coolant to do everything it is doing. The head is not cooling down because there is a bad seal so the engine temp light is turning on, but the engine itself is not hot enough for the fan to turn on yet. Its 30 degrees here and snowing, i was riding it earlier, so the rest of the engine is cooling. Ill call my dealer tomorrow and see if I can get a gasket. 20" of snow expected by tuesday morning, so I have to get it running. Thanks for all the help. Any other suggestions are welcome. Thanks

another suggestion after replacing the gasket is to get some SeaFoam and put it in the oil following the directions on the can to get rid of the remaining water in the engine if there is any.

make sure your bleeder screw on top of the head is tight. That could make coolant drip onto the exhaust also.

Bleeder screw is tight, it looks like the area around the cylinder base gasket is wet, could this gasket possibly be the one that is bad? Thanks.
