How to the pro wedges do in the sand? as a dune rider. Ive thought of getting a set for dragging/ the one time I ride sand a year.

can only really get a set of these or paddles because of space.

 

Who makes the pro wedge? The 489s I have now seem to spin alot. I cut the long ***** in half and haven't tested since. The track is run twice a year so the early classes get more grass, and more dirt develops as you go. I can't get used to the look of the zipper, the profile looks like there is not alot touching the ground. The shredder is a 2ply making it lighter? yes/no

 

The pro wedge is a Honda item purchased through the dealorship,they run around $70 apiece around here. They do great in the sand,quite a few people run them at St.Joe.

 

Check out Pure Sport Realators they are a little heavy but have a bar tread alot like a sand tire and they hook up great.You cant hardly spin them.THey are also reversable for sand.

 

I'm seeing a trend towards the "V" type, or bar tread pattern. I see kenda has a dirt dog.
