BEWARE of the HAWKEYE. DANGEROUS
Well I'm sure we all could keep going rounds
on bash or no-bash allowed but lets keep in mind
its the attitude and context of what people's expression
are to be. I for one am happy with my purchase of
my Sportsman quad. Converting from Arctic Cat
(I.E. RtickKwad).
But I still like and appreciated the AC products.
For me it was what I took interest in about the
Sportsman models not really engineering
(whose better) arguments. Asian made Vs. good
American (Hon). Come on arent most of these
ATV's (Big bore classes anyways Suzuki, Kawaski,
Yamaha, AC, Polaris, BRP) pretty comparable?
I haven't had any real problems
with mine yet (not to say I won't, sssshhh).
And I just finished riding today 45 miles of wooded trial, mud
and field with my nephews riding 2006 Hawkeyes.
They haven't had any problems with theirs as of yet.
Lets keep positive here, this is a great forum, thanks to everybody
who participates I have certainly learns lots of great info from
you all and Yes even including our Non-Polaris friends at
times...:8

Please let me know if your dealer fixes it under warranty. polaris denied me. we wound up taking it to a welder and he put 1/8 steel mounting tabs. Why pay polaris for another sub frame thats only going to fall apart. lucky he controled it to a stop. maybe polaris needs a lawsuit to fix this. let me know how you make out. if you have even a scratch on the rim in the back there going to give you the abuse excuse. Thanks Toz

Myself and alot of other mechanics/riders could bash polaris all day long but there really is no need to. One day you will realize for yourself the legendary quality build polaris is famous for. Its the same reason that Polaris had to pull out of the PWC watercraft market. They just couldnt compete with the other big names and their machines couldnt hold together.

I have a 06 hawkeye 4x4 with no problems at all....I have about 200 miles or so and it runs like a champ. I dont beat on it but I can say I defiently put it through its paces and hasnt disappointed yet....I also have a 97 xplorer 500 4x4 and a 03 trailboss.....and for the most part they have been bullet proof(other than a mouse making a nest in my airfilter)..lol.....am I just lucky? all this garbage about how this machine is no good vs. this machine....I really think it comes down to how you take care of them IMHO ...but what do I know......

I was told by the dealer here that all the 06 hawkeyes are to be refitted with all carb mods, new snorkle etc all on Polaris' dime. That is the info I received-check with your dealer. They have not yet received the parts here to begin the retrofits but they are on the way. East/midwest/south may get them first
