I got the 2 locking nuts off but I cant get the axle to move to the left to slide out. I am thinking right aren't I. Remove the chain, then the 2 large locking nuts on the axle then the axle slides out to the left? I hammered the $hit out of the right side of the axle but it wont go to the left. Any tips or help is appreciated.

 

Yeah...there should be a snap ring that should be removed and then it will slide out. It's right next to the axle housing.
