Couldnt get my 94 polaris sport 400l to start, checked everything. Ended up tearing the head and cylinder off to check the piston. It was all black and crusty - i'm guessing blow by? Figure i'll have it bored and honed and put in a new piston and rings while i have it apart.

My question - the connecting rod seems to have a little play (side to side - not much) where it connects to the crankshaft on the wrist pin bearing. I was wondering if this should be like that?
