i have a question about a 4-wheeler that im thinking about buying. the guy said that it stopped starting with the ignition switch. the seller told me that when he pushed the start button up it wouldnt do anything, but when he let go of it, it would turn over but not spark due to spark, but if he pull starts it, it'll start fine. the pull starter is now broke, the rope broke. he swears that all it needs is a new ignition button assembly on the handle bars. it costs 103 dollars and takes 5 days to get in.
what do you think, ill be paying around 800 for it, and it reads that it has 46 hours on it. friends of mine have ridden it and they know it to be a strong quad.
my question is this. does everything sound right? is there ways of checking this thing, jumping wires over in the ignition switch? i own a car audio store so im pretty experienced at wiring.
the seller is dropping it off for a few hours tomorrow so i can mess with it, and see what i can figure out.
any thoughts or opinions?

Jump it from a car battery-vehicle OFF-with a couple of pieces of 10Guage wire with aligator clips, then jump over the starter solenoid with a small piece of 10Guage, with the key switch on it should turn over and fire up when you touch the terminals. Just like it was an old ford.
