I got a Pipe and silencer from hpd and clutch kit from them and my quad is alot slower than it was before can anyone help me out into trying to figure this out. I'm only doing around 37-45 mph when before I put the parts on i topped out at around 50-55 mph

 

i was gunna say did you rejet but i dont think that it would make that much of a difference. is your acceleration still there or does it just take a long time to get up to speed and not go all the way.

with your clutch cover off you can rev it up. make sure its in neutral. the belt should go to the top on the primary clutch and to the bottom on the secondary. i would think thats the best way to see if your clutch is the culprit.

 

yes did rejet i feel the tourque of the line but it feels like it just wont go any faster and i have a 12 tooth front sprocket

 

the first thing id check then is to make sure the belt is engauging fully. i dont know much about the sprocket stuff 12 is bigger?

 

yeah 12 is bigger i just don't get it they claim 7-8 my horsepower my @ss[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-mad.gif[/img]

 

the horses might be there but with the clutch messed they wont help

 

could it be the clutch kit they gave me. they gave me the clutch kit for piped machines

 

its worth a shot to check

 

if anyone has any other ideas on what it could be please let me know because this has really got me stressed.
