Default Play in my back wheels?

While I was standing next to my quad, I shook the quad from side to side by grabbing the rear rack. I could hear some clanking. So I jacked up the rear of my quad and grabbed one of the rear tires and pushed and pulled in and out and there was play. Is it supposed to have play? Both sides have the same play. All my lug nuts are tight. I'm talking side to side, not backwards and forwards. When I mean pulling the tires in and out, I'm grabing the top of the tire and the bottom, then pushing with the top and pulling with the bottom and vise versa. Thanks for any help.

Don't know. You write a good description and should get some help here. If I were you I would go down to the dealer and have them jack the back up on one to compare.

I would bet it's fine but would have to wonder too.

It appears to be about an 1/8th of an inch or maybe a little less. So I hope all is well. Thanks.
