I know that two wrongs dont make a right however, what would happen if you started trashing his property too? Perhaps you could become friends and respect each other afterward......NOT!!!!!!! Do the legal approach, unless you fear what the neighbors will say about YOU TOO.

If you go to the local law enforcemnt. You could ask them to talk to him without filing a complaint. Most times they will do that if they think it will prevent any more problems down the road. Use the law, thats why we pay taxes.

do NOT do the above! you or someone else innocent will get hurt........and YOU will get sued!

FENCE IT! i fenced 18 acres for about $400 in materials! i used metal posts and 2 lines of electric held to the posts with the yellow brackets. visit your local Tractor Supply store.

where the fence crosses the illegal trails your AH neighbor made, tie some RED tape on the 2 lines of electric so they don't run into it by accident. this shows reasonable care on your part as well.

....and yes, i would write him a letter. be sure to send it BOTH certified and regular mail. keep a file on everything including dates and time for further reference. take pics of the before and after.

beating his ars sounds like a good idea as well! (J/K)

Back in about 1975 or so we had a field we used to ride in. They built some houses on the edge of the field. One of the homeowners didn't like the motorcycles being ridden there so he strung a guy wire between some trees. He killed a middle schooler. They never found out who did it but I am hoping his conscience got the better of him.

Have no doubt that if you attempt to injure this person you are the one who will get the worse end of it, whether via the legal system or by his own hands. Obviously he's the tougher of the two of you or you would have caught him on your trails and physically ran him off. Since that's not the case and you're scared to use the legal system i suggest you put up a regular fence and hope he doesn't cut it down.
