With instructions from The CVMan I was able to remove and disassemble both inside and outside rear CV joints. I found a burr on the race of one. I filed it down, repacked and put all back together. I still have some noise, but it is much better.
There is no question the noise is coming from the joints.
Sounds like this is common for Polaris.
A guy I work with has a friend who is a Polaris mechanic and he says to expect to pay about $1/mile on repairs...
