I am waiting for the service book that I ordered for my xpress 300 and wanted too clean my carb on it. I was reading in a forum that I could spray carb cleaner in the airbox and that would dislodge and dirt in it.
Is this true And will that work?

yes that will work.

i prefer to take it off and take it all apart and clean everything with a solvent, but thats like a rebuild. its not too much work but you need to do that in a clean unclutterd area... lots of small parts to lose if not careful

 

carb cleaner works some what in a pinch but doesnt do a though job. your better off taking the carb off and going thru everthing. it takes longer but at least you know its done right. just my 2 cents.
