Takes off fast enough but when I let off the throttle it slows down fast( compared to the Hondas) without using the brakes, it will come to a complete stop without touching the brakes. Not a sudden stop but a lot faster than the Hondas, I jacked up the bike a checked to see if the brakes were draging, they seamed OK to me. Is this normal or do I need to take to the dealer to check this? I picked it up thursday 6-1-06, it is a new bike but they did not have the owners manual, had to order one for me. I just rode it a little yesterday and it did not feel right so I checked the tire pressure. They were all low so I brought them up to the pressure stated on the tires (5 PSI ).
This is the first Polaris for me and I do not know anyone that has a Polaris.

What you feel is the backshift from the clutch. It is normal. The only way to change the back shift is with different spring settings or different springs in the secondary clutch but I would not recommend messing with it unless you understand how the cvt clutch works with different settings and springs. Usually it is a good thing to have a good backshift. . If you change the backshift you also change the upshift. It may make it slower or less powerful while on the throttle.

Also it will get better once it is broken in. Just the slight belt wear will change how it shifts.

Thanks for the info. I have read plenty of posts here and never did see where anyone post about the backshift. Just something a Polaris owner would know
I am going to ride it a lot more to get it broke in, have not broke in the 350 yet

Thanks again

The winch is working great. I swear it is a warn with a different name. Everything about it is the same inside and out.
