Mounting a GPS
Katuzo, I took some real nice pictures of my GPS setup. If you want, PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send them to you. I don't have any vibration issues with my GPS setup. I would not feel comfortable mounting anything to the gas tank that requires drilling. With the handle bars, it is mounted to metal and not plastic which I feel would cut down on any vibration. Another thing, I've had four Garmin GPS's and loved them all with no problems. I had a friend with a Magallen and he threw it into a canyon. Now that was years ago so they might be better now. Even though I have my GPS mounted next to my spedo, it has a pretty small screen and I need to slow down and make a quick glance at it. My GPS has a page with large numbers. If I'm trying to GO TO a waypoint, I put it on that page and I can see the arrow and digital speed even while travling fast, In fact I use the GPS's digital speed instead of the ATV's spedo because it's easyer to read. The map is real hard to see unless you're stopped. My pictures will show what I see while sitting on my quad.
