I went to my local Polaris Dealer, and asked for information on a white primary clutch spring for a 1999 Sportsman 335 4x4. They said that it would be a waste of money and time for a 335, and was mainly for higher reving 2 stroke engines. Is this true? Does anyone have a white or green spring on their 335? Has it made a difference? Thanks very much!

I cant speak on behalf of the 335s,but it makes a huge differance on the Xplorer models.

Why dont you just buy a white spring, install it and let us guys know what you think?I been a Forum user for a very long time and dont recall if anyone has tried it yet on the 335.Cost is only around 25$ for the spring and labor is very simple,

I've just installed the "green" spring in my '99 SP 500. It helped some. It moved the shifting higher into the engine power curve. I can now out-run my brother's '98 SP. Before the spring,he got me on inclines and short-runs, Now I beat him on incline runs,short-runs, and top-end runs too. It was worth the time to install for me. Ride 'em hard Polcat

Has anyone tried the spring yet? My sister has a 335 and wants more pep to it. She's wanting to trade for a 500, but I don't think she needs that much more power....plus the 335 is easier to steer with the smaller tires, I don't think she'd like the heavier steering.
If anyone has tried the spring, or pipe, or anything else, I'd like to hear about it

White spring helped in my sons 325 Trailboss 4 stroke. Gave it some kick on bottom end.

I have just installed a white primary clutch spring in my 99 335, and it made some improvement, but not alot. I'm soon to try the green spring, as they are simple to change. I'll post back as soon as I install the green spring.

Did the white spring affect the top end on the Tboss?? Does it create any extra wear on anything?

I have a '00 335. Put a K&N filter,a Supertrapp IDS2 pipe and muffler and EPI clutch kit on it. Other than top end speed it will stay up with my '00 SP500 on the trails.

Midnight: If you check the specs on the white and green spring you will see very little difference in them. Probably won't see a change in performance. Look in your manuel, you will see what I mean.
Anybody out there tell the difference?

Sorry for my ignorance, but what exactly does the spring do?? I'd love more power out of my 335 but I'd hate to drop much money into it. How hard is the installation??
