I can just imagine what the fans will do to the guy that hit him. Tommy Maddox had his lawn trashed and life threatened when he sucked for the 2 games he played in last year....On a more srious tone though, NFL.com said he was in serious but stable condition and going into surgery today.......for what, I dont know.

 

He was not wearing a helmet.....

 

suffered a broken jaw and broken nose.
an old woman hit him.

 

he has broken teeth, a busted left sinus cavity, and he injured both knees. i dont think he will be able to play again if his knees are messed up ....

"The car, a New Yorker with Maine plates, was driven by Martha Fleishman, 62, of Squirrel Hill, who made a left turn toward the bridge in front of the cyclist. The motorcycle hit the car and Roethlisberger flew into the windshield and then hit the ground head first.

Roethlisberger was bleeding heavily from a head injury, and blood pooled on the pavement. The witness said he was not wearing a helmet.

The entire front end of the motorcycle, was destroyed. The car sustained damage on the passenger side door. Fleishman's husband, Martin, confirmed in a telephone interview that his wife was the driver but said the couple didn't want to discuss what happened."

I have also heard some knee injuries/swolen brain.(I hope not very bad).....I some shame is thrown her way BIG BEN style......

 

He should have had a helmet.

being a QB, a knee injury won't be as seriuos as it would if he were a running bacl or WR. still, I hope he makes it through it okay.
