Weatherspoon - are you for real? Is your ego that fragile that you are too good to have a spelling mistake pointed out. Pal if thats all it takes to ruffle your feathers than I hope that you are never exposed to any brand bashing for that would surely push you over the edge. Grow up man and don't attack me because I pointed out your spelling error. There was absolutely no malice in me pointing out the proper spelling but you, on the other hand, seem to think that I am trying to make myself feel good by being rude and ignorant as you put it. How do you make the jump from me pointing out your mistake to that? If I was interested in being rude and ignorant to you then you would be the first to know. Anyway if my pointing out your mistake offends you then I appologize.

 

thats just the type of person he is. hes a very deffensive person, and god forbid we say something about Dr. Martin Luther King durring Black History month, or the color black, or he'll have all of us banned because we are being racist. we all must remember that the raptor is the best quad to ever be produced and Mr. Yamaha is a god we should all bow to. by the way, trinity makes me tingle inside

So far I have a Honda and a Unison (Damn good quad). The wife wants a quad and it seems from the choices
that Polaris and Arctic Cat are my choices from what she has seen and prefers...looks are very important to her! Might look at Can-Am as well. I could care less what the sticker says as long as it is good machine.

Polaris bashing (which is more rampant than general brand bashing in my opinion) is just a matter of fashion. It's the fashionable thing to do for some. Some that have never owned a Polaris and are just repeating what their buddies hunting buddy said so they look they are in the loop [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
So...just for the sake of fun...what do you all think the top 3 Polaris bashers are? I would say:

1. Bomb owners
2. Honda owners
3. Suzuki owners

Bomb owners most often bash anything that is not BRP because:

1. BRP has the fastest quad on the market right now.
2. BRP has one of the most innovative designs right now.
3. BRP has been making ATVs for less time than most others...so there is the insecurity factor...which is very mild.
4. The 800 HO Bomb and the 800 EFI are what are compared in big bores.
5. The Jones factor. The Bomb will certainly attract the gotta out do the Jones crowd. Until something tops it. I hate this one the most. Darn yuppies.
6. Everybody else does and since they are currently at the top of the food chain, they are most certainly going to jump in. Escpecially when #5 is in play. This becomes very amplified. Also described as inferority syndrome (must have the biggest baddest of whatever available at any given moment to measure up)


Honda owners bash because:

1. Honda owners ride Honda. That is what they ride. They don't switch.
2. Honda has the largest market percentage of all brands
3. Honda is tried and true.
4. Honda will go anywhere.
5. Honda is the #1 choice for I told ya so people and thus I refuse to buy them [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Suzuki owners bash because:

1. I don't know. I'm still trying to figure this one out.


Disclaimer: I only speak of utlility quads. It's all I know.

I find Yamaha and Kawasaki owners to be pretty mellow. They have their Quad. It works well. No need to go on about it seems to be the general atmosphere there. I find AC owners to be pretty relaxed as well. At least in my neck of the woods.

I think brand bashing is childish and stupid. What we ALL need to remember is that the government is out for all atv riders. We all need to stick together and help keep our riding areas open and clean. It should not matter if joe shmoe is riding a Polaris or a Honda just as long as he is riding and sticking up for his right to ride. I am not bias to any brand. I am a Polaris rider but recently switched to Honda. The Honda is a GREAT quad. MAy not be the fastest, biggest or best mudder but it is damn good reliable machine. I dont think anyone can argue that. My sp600 on the other hand is going on its 3rd front diff, second speedo, second set of bushings, 1 axle and a few sets of boots. The thing runs great and is awsome for mudding. I am a mechanic and I take care of all my toys. Atv's, mud trucks etc... I dont ride the 600 much anymore because it is not reliable at this point. It has over 2000 miles on it and has been through hell and back. I know things are going to break but until Polaris can re design the front diff it is going to do alot of sitting. But by no means am I going to bash Polaris or any brand. Polaris does have the common problems and I may be back once they are worked out but for now I love my trouble free Rincon. I do notice that Honda guys will knock Polaris any chance they get.

So for all the haters and brand bashers you need to grow up and we all need to stick together.
