Polaris Bashing!!!!!
#42
I'm on my second Polaris and I've had no problems but I still get the odd comment about Polaris and the reliability issues. I think it comes from the pre 2000 models when they did seem to have some problems

All brands have their problems, right? Its just a matter of personal preference that I own Polaris's. I owned other brands and rode with other brands of ATV's, and they all break down occassionally...SO WHAT!!!!! We all should have thicker skin when it comes to, "Bashing", and try to enjoy the comraderie of the sport instead. Evil bashing just shows ignorance and lack of taste. Just laugh it off next time and take off in a cloud of dust!!!!! ;-)

I think friend bashing ranks right up there as well..
I have an entry quad in my 330, my buddy or so called, has the 700 sportsman efi and all the gadgets...He is all the time telling me how my bike is crap next to his, mine cant keep up and all that stuff i just want to kick him in the head....
I will say this i can ride a longer wheelie than he can, and i can get way more air since mine is a lighter bike ....thats just me though anyoen else have these "friends"..
This was my first quad,i am darn proud of it too, i had to replace brakes on liek i said b4 well he ran out and bout some 150 dollar brake pads and put them on without telling me and exoected em to pay fro them, heck i found a set for only 15.00 thats a big difference when ya dotn have alot of money.

I ride with a couple of Sportsmans, a Grizzly, a Kodiak, a Wolverine, a Rhino and a few Hondas. We constantly give each other crap about each others quads. It's fun. My buddy with the Griz still brings up the fact that he pulled me out of the mud 4 years ago! I would hate it if we all rode the same thing.
Honestly, I've never heard the "evil bashing" on the trails. Here, sure - but on the trails, it's always been good-natured ribbing.

Perhaps 2000 was the year they made a major change to the Sportsmans or something. I only have about 300 miles on the two I have now (800 EFI and 450) but I am very happy. They perform quite well.
DriftinCowboy your buddy is a Joneser (the anything you can do I can do better, buy better...whatever). If I were you, I would seriously consider keeping better company. I have had friends like that and for me, when they let that side of them out (which was always there) it just killed any enjoyment I got out of the friendship. Find somebody that just likes to ride for the sake of the ride.

I agree with the honda being some of the most dorable quads you can buy I just wish yamaha could do that now I know there
is people who never had problmes with there yamaha but with my raptor I spent much more money then what i bargend for but yet I never had a problem with my worrior only when I flooded it out from flying throught a creek.
And with polaris with bashing not to start any comotion but you guys do seem to think that the pred is superior to any of the other sports bikes. Not to start anything but thats how I feel.
