Night Riding
Riding at night is a bunch of fun. Generally we take our wives/girlfriends (not both at the same time though) and head off in a group, light a fire, have a cook up and some beverages and then let our ladies drive home anyone who has had 1 too many. Its a great time for looking for rabbits & such as they usually are most active after dark. Now wintertime snowmobiling at night is the absolute best...the visibility is great and generally in my neck of the woods the wind dies down so the riding is just a pure pleasure, especially if there was a storm that day.

I love to ride at night. For me it is the best time to ride. Trails around here are so over grown with green it can at times, be easier to focus and work the trails at night.
I also concur with S,Seans comments. It becomes an outting day or night. Besides, its a pain to arrange a day run most times with fellow riders schedules, etc. Its not hard to round up a few fellas to go for a scoot at night though.
This is why I would love to see polaris just make the 3 lights work instead of needing the mods.

Night Riding
I ride almost exclusively at night. My riding group goes out every Friday night. It's a lot easier because we're all family guys and with the kids schedules and such Friday nights is a great time when we can all go consistantly.
Last week 6 of us left at 7:30 and got back at 4:00AM. We did 40 miles. One of the guys shreaded a belt and we had to haul him back about 15 miles. This past Friday night 7 of us did 38 miles and got back around 3:00AM. We take some long breaks so it's not all riding. One thing I like about riding at night is that it's nice and cool in the summer.
90% of my riding is at night. Lights work fine. However, backing up into total darkness on hilly terrain was something I didn't particularly like so I added a back up light.
I enjoy night riding better than day riding.
