Looking for some help, my ATV, after a few weeks of doing nothing, now seems to have little or no power at low rpms... once it starts to accelerate, it's fine, but from a standstill has nothing. An example would be, If I stopped at the bottom of a hill, even with throttle wide open, it would barely run, I let go of the throttle, and it stalls... anyone? I don't know much about these things, has always run good... where should I start? gas is good.. didn't run out or anything.

Also,,, looking how to tighten the chain... anyone?

I would start by taking the carb apart and cleaning the pilot jet and main jet.If it still has no power then take a compression check on the motor.

 

did you ever find out what the problem was with your xpress I own one also and have been having some problems

 

My friend has a similar problem. Goes great in foward, but in reverse, it backfires and will hardly move. Any idea's on what to look for? I am trying to help her out.
