Polaris Extended Warranty is sorry.

Here is the latest in the soga of my '03 Sportsman 600 that has been a piece of junk. It's been in the shop since the middle of February except for 1 week due to engine bearing failure which required a complete rebuild, thermostat, water pump impellor, and now both front axles and the front transfer case. Polaris is saying since the value of my bike is $4400, and they have spent $3900 so far, that they want pay but $1400 of the last $2400 repair bill for this last trip to dealer for repairs. I have 1 more year on my extended warranty and if it breaks down again, the most they will pay will be a total of $500 during this last year. So to get my bike out of the shop this time, I've got to pay $1000 since this warranty is a"limited" warranty.
So I suggest everyone start looking at reading the fine print on these extended warrantys.

Wow, I would take some sort of action. I would either contact the better business bureau or maybe sue if you have a "lemon law" in your state. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets oiled. If you throw a stink, they will give in just so they don't get any type of negative publicity.

I had a real problem with misinformation from a local dealer (Broward Motor Sports, Davie Florida). I have a 2004 ATP/500HO. They advised me that the same fluid that goes in the rear diff. is the same fluid that goes in the transmission. They also said that their Polaris tech has not shown up to work in three days and there’s no one to ask! Customer Service said there is no avenue to contact tech support for this simple issue. I will be sending this e-mail to the Miami Herald Newspaper warning other Polaris owners of our very poor customer support. I have never had this problem with my Honda or my prior Yamaha.
