what does the trailer weigh? if the weight of the trailer and wheeler is within the requirements of the car you should be fine.

that does not take into account hitch angles or wheelbase issues whihc can cause fish tailing and what not at higher speeds, or the buicks ability to get you to a trail head.

i'm not sure about how much the trailer ways but i can move it by hand pretty easy.
but i may have to stick with my truck. but the miles and fuel adds so fast.
ive tried taking off my tailgate on my truck to see if get better diesel fuel miles.
i'm puting in a kn air filter soon to hopes that helps with my truck fuel mileage

with a diesel I want no complaining. lol

try a tonno cover mine adds some millaige more then the tail gate removal. and a computer programmer and free dlowing exhaust will always add millaige. im the only one I know with a gas truck (mid size) but all my friends and dads 2500-3500s kill me gas millaige wise. all of them have atleast exhaust work though.

GT350. SInce you have a stock diesel you have a good building block. I have 7.3 PDS f350 and I get about 16 around town and over 20 running the highways. I've pulled a 20K tiraxel bevertail with a 77scout and a ford tractor on it and still did over 16 on the highway. I've added a chip, better air intake system. K&Ns are not good on turbo charged enginers, a 4 inch turbo back ehaust and I've replaced my trans with one designed to pull. The factory trans set up is sloppy and ineficient becasue they slip and take to long to shift between gears creating heat and cutting efficiency. You could benifit from a new torque convertor and a shift kit. A rear gear swap to something like 373 would help a bunch if your running 410s. Good luck. I'm no chevy expert but will be glad to point you toward folks. PM me if you need more info.

You shouldn't have any problem. I tow a 5X8 mesh floor trailer with a mesh gate and a Trailblazer with my Ford Focus. My Focus is an automatic too and I can't even tell the trailer and machine are there.

Towing capacity is only 1000 lbs. BUT if you are carefull and drive like you have a head on your shoulders it can do it. The towing deal is stopping and tail wagging the dog senario. Make sure you have a good tranny cooler. May also want to use third and not OD if you notice a lot of shifting and TCC engage and release.

I pull a scrambler on a 4x5 trailer all the time with my 97GS Regal. Emergency panic stops and harry cornering while braking are touchy.
