Default Accessories (lock&ride)- Plow, Gun Scabbard, Back support

All -

Preface: I know this is a real important topic but something I was wondering
so I figure why not ask my Polaris commrades?

I cleared it with the Boss (Wife) I will be shelling out some extra
cash this Fall/Winter for some ATV accessories. I could use a
plow for my long driveway when we do get the big snowfalls
(Once in every couple years), how is the Polaris Plow system
for the Sportsman?

Gun Scabbard? (For the hunters) Is the L&R decent or
stick with Kolpin or something else?

After riding for a while my back hurts abit. Does the L&R back support
from Polaris any good any issues with it? Is it a waste not really
working well?

All comments welcomed as I can either set my sights on these future items or
ditch them, thanks everybody!

I have the L&R box with back rest and I think it does a pretty good job. For me the only issue is it makes of a long reach to the bars if you are resting on the support. The back rest that is just a backrest may work much better since it is adjustable.

I'm also interested in feedback on plows and the gun scabbard. I'll be needing the scabbard in a few months for the deer season opener.

Regards,
chad

I have the plow and L&R Box with the backrest. As Chad said, the backrest is a long reach, but I am 6'5" and find it comfortable to lean on the backrest while riding. The adjustable backrest may be better suited for those not as tall.

I have been using the Glacier plow for 3 years now. It is very easy to hook up and does a decent job of plowing. I see you have a winch and front brush guard. I have the same and the winch cable will rub on the guard bar when raising/lowering the plow blade. I drilled a new hole in the plow frame and installed an eye hook to attach the winch. Works great. I have a 100' driveway and use the plow for every snow. Also end up doing a couple neighbor's driveways and our private common drive. Nothing more fun than playing in the snow (plus I usually get a couple of beers for my efforts, added bonus).

Hey Bytor whereabouts in Maryland do you
and friends go riding? I hit GreenRidge here
and there and just joined Budds Creek.

Thx,

Rtic: We really don't ride much around here (Westminster). We have a nice place to ride in the Deep Creek Lake area and usually make 2 trips to Hatfield/McCoy every year. There isn't much around any more.
