I had this same issue but after I bent the little metal tab away from the etc every time I turn my atv on it tries to take off on me how do I fix this

First off most people don't keep the throttle cable adjusted properly. You must have only 1/8" slack or the etc contacts will touch and either die or backfire. The adjuster is on the throttle cable down from the throttle housing. If you altered the etc switch in any way you can have problems.I'd check first on the cable slack, plus check that the cable isn't binding at the carb causing it to run wild. Plus you can try to bend the etc stop bracket (I suppose this is what you've bent out) back to it original position and try adjusting the throttle slack and checking the cable at the carb. This is a "fix" one guy did on his 200. May or may not work for you, plus he does give a warning what can happen..
"On the 2005 ETC (electronic throttle control) when you let off the throttle quickly the machine backfires excessively, especially when going downhill. You can eliminate this problem by installing a blue scotch block on the 2 wires going into the throttle. This basically makes the 2 wires touch and nullifies the ETC. The machine will not backfire anymore, but if the throttle becomes stuck, even when it is released it will remain engaged...wide open"
