Can you run 28" outlaw or vamps on the HO with out problems? I believe all you need is a lift in the front, is that correct? What size do you run? Also will this throw mud every where and if so are there any aftermarket remedies to keep the mud off of me?

Polaris just came out with a bulletin when you put on their oversize tires to use their 8 spoke rims, they are a 1/4 in. offset out. They say stock wheels don't give enough clearance for the steering components.
You can get the oversize fender extentions from them also. Just put a set on a 500, had my doubts but they don't look too bad. Going to put a set on the wifes and mine and we have stock tires.
Part # for the front is 2872316 sells for $70
Part # for the back is 2872317 sells for $100

Can i put 27 Mud Bugs with no problem? I am using ITP steel wheels. Will there be a power difference? Do I need a lift or air filter and will it be hard to steer? Thanks for the help

I have 27" bi/tri claws on my stock 500sp ho with very little power loss.I have no lift and magnum billet wheels and it does get you muddy so I will probbly get the wider flares.

Thanks for all the help. I was recently at the dealership that carries 589's mud runners, and vamps. The vamps look like serious mud tires. They also told me they are parts busters. They said for my application I would be best suited with AG tires. They probably work great, but they look goofy and also look to change the center gravity for the worse. My application is rice fields. I currently use Blackwater XT's and don't feel like they have as good traction as the stock tires. The mud runners look like a good compromise?

I wouldnt get the ag tires either because they sink it the mud bad,I use my ho on the farm some and it does fine through the rice feilds, the farm I ride on grows soy beans and rice and when it floods the lower part the ag tires will dig straight down out of sight.
