compression on a 300 xpress 2 stroke
#1
Ok so I did a compression test on my 98 xpress 300 2 stroke 2 day and while it was cold it got 114psi. Then I ran around the yard for about 15 min. in low and rechecked and it was 95. I tried to get some oil down in the spark plug hole but could not get to it. I know that my manual says 115psi but it is real close cold and I am not having any problems since I got the carb adjusted I just wantede to know what the number was. Does this usually happen more compression cold than hot.

Yes you will get more compression when cold. It would not be hard to hone the cylinder and put new rings in but if you dont have problems starting it and it still runs strong when hot I would not worry.
