Default 1999 Polaris sport 400 Clutch spring

Aright i have the sport 400 two stroke and was wondering what would be the best brand/color primary clutch spring for my polaris sport. I want the same start off engagement as the stock spring and same low end and more mid and top end but dont want to take any thing of the bottom end. What would be the best spring for me? THANKS

SO EPI pink are the best for the scrambler too because i thought they were good for the smaller 4 strokes. I have tryed a EPI pink and dint notice too much from the stock spring. What color is the stock spring spose to be?

The EPI will give you a low engagment and more top rpm.Even on a 2stroke.
To get what you are wanting you wont get it with just a spring change.you will need weights and maybe a differant secondary. You may try a Polaris yellow with S58 weights.
Stock springs will be either a Blue/green or white (plain with white on end) primary with either a red or silver secondary spring.Stock weights are S55.

Aright one more thing, Were is this secdary spring and how do I set it to 2-2. Also I have noticed that EPI sell's secondary springs that have EBS. Is this were you just put the spring in and you will have EBS or is a spring that goes with a EBS system?

You have to take your secondary apart to set the spring. And EPI EBS spring is just a spring for an EBS system.

ive got a polaris brown in my scrambler 400, works good, wheelies when u want to, and u can keep it on the ground. pretty good low engagement and fast. Idk what it would do to a sport being lighter in the front than a scrammy.

i suggest you to put some boyesen petal reeds in that thing if you more power from it cheap, even with snappier engagemant primary spring, the stock pipe is pretty detuned unit that will take never ending tuning to get the right
snap your looking for,my 2 cents...

mod the airbox replace the filter, try a polaris yellow primary, get some snap in boysens and if you want/ are willing to run premium fuel cut the head some. all of that should be only 110-120 dollars and should provide some snap for you.
