Hi today i rolled my quad on teh cement and try to start it back up by pulling on the pull starter rope but it feels like its really tight any help?

its a trailboss or w/e thx

 

is the recoil dented? did it work? not sure what it is for a quad but if you just pull the recoil assembly off and then try it to see if the dogs or spring is fetching up.

 

I have a Sportsman 500EFI, its not even seen dirt yet (had it about 4 days) and tried the pullstart backup just to see how it worked,its VERY hard to pull on mine, I stopped pulling due toworrying I was going to break the rope.. I wonder if there is some sort of compression release on these? Didnt see anything in the book but MAN, I hope I never have to use that pull starter![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

 

there wasnt any on my 02 500 i had and could pull it.

 

owell ill just change the batterys out and use the electric starter. that will be easier anyway

 

Now if you just do that don't complain if the thing dies and the pull rope could have saved you a long walk IF you had just taken the time to pull the recoil off and inspect it---I'm just sayinnnnn'

the electric start dont even work i get a click when i hi it but nothin happens and the same thing when i pull the pull start it only comes out like 3 inches and gets jammed and i try as hard as i can to pull it bit it dont do anything please help..

 

ok well this is what happend i pull the pull start and the thing goes to a certaint point then its gets jammed, but i check teh recoil and everything looks fine.. i also tried the electric start but when i hit it all i hear is like a tink noise.. Please some1 help!!!
