04 scrammy.. thinkin bout takin 4x4 out to drop weight.. thoughts?
i have a 04 scrambler 4x4 and it is just to heavy. I use 4 wheel drive every once in a while if i feel like getting dirty but i think i could could go with out. I love jumpin and rippin wheelies and the weight is just weighin me down. i dont wanna to deal with sellin it and to be honest i like the machine. I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of someone doin this or any feed back would be much appreciated. Thanks..

sell it an get a sport it is easyer an better to do it this way. you will save around 60 lbs. I know a guy who used to MX race his an he left it in an used it. He said it helps with coming out of corrners. But I think sell it an get the sport

there is many of us that done the thing,,with the 2x4 front struts on it,,it save over 60 lbs of dead weight, but don't think
you'll able to jump and mx racing that quad with just lighthening tough,,,but it will accelerate faster and will be easier to turn
around for sure,,an az boys or hot seat swingarm save a lot of weight too,,,hubs,,front arms...

Is the Scrambler 500 a strong motor? I am looking at getting a 2X4 model 2000 for $1400 to tow my two seadoos. Is it a good strong Bike? I tow with my trailblazer 250 now and it doesn't have the umpth for two ski's. Any input would be great.
I also wouldn't mind buying your 4x4 parts if you take them off.
Thanks

I smoked him,but I should have. The 500 has alot more power. For towing though,a quad with a low gear might be a good idea.
