i have a 99 sportsman 335 4wd that has a couple problems and i'm having a hard time figuring them out...first off it seems pretty gutless ( i just bought the bike so maybe all 335 's are this way?)....also it has a low rpm vibration...starts in a little above idle and goes away about 2500 rpms...also i cant find anyone that stocks a clymer repair manual for it ...i need the timing and valve lash specs

 

the 335 isnt overly powerful but it does ok. when in low range its gots some torque. i traded mine because the lack of power and always having to use low range in hard areas. as far as vibrating, sounds like maybe the clutch is wore out. does it do it in neutral as well as in gear. if it has alot of miles and no service it could be that. pull clutch cover off and check it. and if the clutch is wore out or the belt is, then it would seem even worse on the lack of power. sorry dont know the valve lash.

 

thanks for the reply...it vibrates when standing still just reving the motor...i pulled the clutch off and started it and it still vibrates...i checked the motor mounts and they seem ok ..
