i can look at my 450 but i know it is the engine oil you drained. dont let the color or texture fool you. its polaris oil alright.

 

Thanks guys, Thats it. I couldn't see in the manual where there was a second plug. I'll finish it up this am and hope to be back in business before football game start today. When done, it looks like I'll need to go thru a priming process, right? Thanks again to the help. At least this helped me get to know my quad a little better....

Boy o boy your lucky I am a nice guy...[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] I posted a walkthru on a oil change for a 500 ho... Complete with pictures and all.. What you drained was the engine oil from the block.

THe time when you have to prime the pump is when you remove the oil screen... I removed the screen on mine. Just be very careful when you remove the screen bolt as if you dont remove it with a straight pull on the bolt you are likely to tweek the oil pan and possibly break the plastic pan.. I think I put some locktite back on the oil screen bolt.. The blue stuff...
